To rescue the distressed flat buyers of Noida & Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Adityanath Yogi directed the developers to hand over 50000 flats to the agitated customers in next 3 months or get ready to face strict action.
CM Yogi Adityanath issued this directive in a meeting with developers and the top administrators from the Noida and the Greater Noida Authority, said Suresh Kumar Khanna, Urban Development Minister.
Suresh Kumar Khanna is one of the members of three-ministerial committee created by CM Yogi to look into the grievances of the flat buyers due to the NCLT insolvency proceedings initiated against the Jaypee Infratech.
3 member committee comprising of Suresh Rana and Satish Mahana, recently visited Noida to see the situation of the aggrieved home buyers and find out a way to help them.
Khanna said that the builders have been asked to deliver the possession of pending 50000 flats in the next three months after completing the construction and finishing work and taking the completion certificate from concerned authorities.
Mr. Khanna also mentioned that the builders have agreed to this and if they will not follow this, “all the options will be considered” to deal with them.
“From financial to criminal…all the options are open with us..,” the minister added to his statement.
Meeting came just after a day when the Supreme Court said that home buyers’ interest will be protected at any cost and directed the Jaypee Associates, the holder of Jaypee Infratech, to deposit a sum of Rs. 2,000 crore with the court in next 45 days.
As the NCLT initiated insolvency proceedings against the real estate firm Jaypee Infratech, 32,000 home buyers were left hanging in between.
